fasciaticeps, Marcusenius Boulenger [G. A.] 1920:12, Fig. 3 [Annales du Musée du Congo Belge Sér. C (Zoologie) (Sér. 1) v. 2 (fasc. 4); ref. 587] Kinshasa [Leopoldville], Democratic Republic of Congo. Holotype (unique): MRAC 7243. •Synonym of Pollimyrus isidori (Valenciennes 1847), but a valid subspecies -- (Gosse 1984:116 [ref. 6169]). •Synonym of Pollimyrus osborni (Nichols & Griscom 1917). •Valid as Pollimyrus fasciaticeps (Boulenger 1920) -- (Dierickx et al. 2024:14 [ref. 41680]). Current status: Valid as Pollimyrus fasciaticeps (Boulenger 1920). Mormyridae. Distribution: Central Africa: Congo River drainage, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Habitat: freshwater.
