remadevii, Mesonoemacheilus Shaji [C. P.] 2002:217, Figs. 2-4 [Indian Journal of Fisheries v. 49 (no. 2); ref. 27556] Kunthi River at Poochipara, Silent Valley National Park, Kerala, India. Holotype: KFRI F900 [probably lost]. Paratypes: CLTV F11541 (2), KFRI F901 (3) [probably lost]. Appeared earlier as an unavailable nomen nudum, Mesonemacheilus remadeviensis Ponniah & Gopalakrshnan 2000. Described as remadevii, but named for K. Rema Devi, who is a woman, the correct species epithet would have been remadeviae, but not to be corrected according to the ICZN. •Valid as Mesonoemacheilus remadevii Shaji 2002 -- (Kottelat 2012:89 [ref. 32367], Anoop et al. 2017:124 [ref. 35652], Bleher 2018:152 [ref. 36647]). •Valid as Koima remadevii (Shaji 2002) -- (Anoop et al. 2024:108 [ref. 41671]). Current status: Valid as Koima remadevii (Shaji 2002). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: South Asia: Kunthi River drainage, Bharathapuzha River basin, Silent Valley National Park, Western Ghats (Kerala, India). Habitat: freshwater.
