Paratypes: CSIRO, KAUM, NMNZ, NMV, NSMT-P, WAM. •Synonym of Banjos banjos (Richardson 1846), but a valid subspecies brevispinis Matsunuma & Motomura 2017 -- (Gloerfelt-Tarp & Kailola 2022:149 [ref. 41223]). •Valid as Bajos brevispinis Matsunuma & Motomura 2017. Current status: Valid as Banjos brevispinis Matsunuma & Motomura 2017. Banjosidae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean: Indonesia and Western Australia Habitat: marine.
