Paratypes: FMNH, MBUCV, MZUEL, MZUSP, •Valid as Hypomasticus tepui (Birindelli, Britski & Provenzano 2019) -- (Sidlauskas et al. 2025:20 [ref. 41973]). Current status: Valid as Hypomasticus tepui (Birindelli, Britski & Provenzano 2019). Anostomidae: Leporininae. Distribution: South America: Orinoco River basin, highlands of the Guyana Shield, Venezuela. Habitat: freshwater.
