Holotype: AMNH 264174. Paratypes: AMNH. •Valid as Labeo niariensis Liyandja & Stiassny 2025. Current status: Valid as Labeo niariensis Liyandja & Stiassny 2025. Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Central Africa: upper and middle Niari River drainage, Kouilou-Niari River basin, Niari Department, Republic of Congo. Habitat: freshwater.
