Paratypes: MNHN, SAIAB, ZIN. •Valid as Pycnocraspedum africanum Schwarzhans, Psomadakis & Nielsen 2025. Current status: Valid as Pycnocraspedum africanum Schwarzhans, Psomadakis & Nielsen 2025. Ophidiidae: Neobythitinae. Distribution: Indian Ocean: East African coast from 11°S to 22°S, but could be more widely spread in the Indian Ocean. Habitat: marine.
