Holotype: PRFRI 202401160004. Paratypes: PRFRI 202401160001-03 (3), 202401160005-08 (4), 202401160010-12 (3), 2025024525-27 (3). •Valid as Sinocyclocheilus pingchowensis Zeng & Zhou 2026. Current status: Valid as Sinocyclocheilus pingchowensis Zeng & Zhou 2026. Cyprinidae: Cyprininae. Distribution: East Asia: Niu-He drainage, Hongshui-He basin, Qiannan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, China. Habitat: freshwater.
