TERRESTRIAL – although not in the scope of the SFBay:2K project’s protocols, many terrestrial isopods can be found in the highest intertidal zones around the bay and therefore warrant a mention. Ligia occidentalis (rock louse) is an especially common isopod found on rocky shores around the central and south bay.
