the Department Staff
CURATORS:
The
staff of the department includes four curators who oversee curation
of the collections and conduct research in their areas of specialization.
Dr.
Richard J. Mooi, Curator and Department Chair - Specializes
in phylogeny of the Echinodermata, particularly echinoids
Dr.
Gary C. Williams, Curator - Specializes in systematics, biogeography and phylogeny
of octocoral cnidarians
Dr.
Terrence M. Gosliner, Senior Curator - Specializes
in phylogeny, biogeography and systematics of opisthobranch molluscs
Dr.
Peter D. Roopnarine, Associate Curator - Specializes
in paleontology of marine mollusks and conodonts
RESEARCHERS:
Dr.
Michael T. Ghiselin, Chair of the Center for the History and Philosophy
of Science, Darwin scholor and specialist in the phylogeny and systematics of mollusks
Dr.
Elizabeth Fourtanier, Research Scientist, working on the systematics
and taxonomy of fossil and marine diatoms.
Rebecca Johnson, Postdoctoral Fellowship, working on nudibranch systematics and phylogenetics.
Dr.
Louie Marincovich, Adjunct Curator of Paleontology, specializing in paleontology of Cenozoic marine mollusks - particularly those in the Arctic.
