Biodiversity Resource Center California Academy of Sciences In January of 1991, the Biodiversity Resource Center was opened on the public floor of the California Academy of Sciences. The Center provides direct access to the immense variety of informational resources which describe biodiversity and human efforts to preserve it. The Center is designed to serve a full range of users from students with little scientific experience to advanced researchers. The Center's capabilities include: Internet access, CD-ROM bibliographic databases, videotapes, optical laser disks, and extensive print form reference sources.
