Can you find the four-legged animal called
a spike? His mother and father are in the picture too. There are
also 3 different birds. Some are hard to find, so look carefully in the
grass.
Freshwater marshes are among the richest of wildlife habitats. Every class
of vertebrates - fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals - live
here, joined by an almost incredible profusion of invertebrates. A joint
venture of air, earth, water, and sunlight, the marsh creates plant riches,
from microscopic algae to thick stands of vegetation, which in turn concentrate
wildlife in this highly productive habitat.
