balushkini, Scopeloberyx malayanus Kotlyar [A. N.] 2004:731, Fig. 4 [Voprosy Ikhtiologii v. 44 (no. 6); ref. 27961] Southwestern Pacific, 35°19'S, 128°42'E, depth 5010-4900 meters. Holotype: ZMMGU P-21135. Paratypes: ION 02487 (8), ZMMGU P-21136 (10). Plus non-type material. •Synonym of Scopeloberyx malayanus (Weber 1913), but a valid subspecies balushkini Kotlyar 2004 as described -- (Kotlyar 2024:1372 [ref. 41745]). •Valid as Scopeloberyx balushkini Kotlyar 2004. Current status: Valid as Scopeloberyx balushkini Kotlyar 2004. Melamphaidae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean: Great Australian Bight; southwestern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
