Holotype: FFNU P-02129. Paratypes: (56) FFNU, NSMT. Plus additional non-type material. •Valid as Hemitrygon ariakensis Furumitsu & Yamaguchi 2025. Current status: Valid as Hemitrygon ariakensis Furumitsu & Yamaguchi 2025. Dasyatidae: Dasyatinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: western part of Japan from Tosa Bay to the southern coast of Kyushu, Japan Sea and East China Sea. Habitat: marine.
