Current status: Valid as Ctenobrycon magdalenae (Eigenmann & Henn 1916). Acestrorhamphidae: Acestrorhamphinae. Distribution: South America: Colombian rivers, Catatumbo River and Lake Maracaibo basins, Colombia and Venezuela. Habitat: freshwater.
